POSITION INFO:
As a Short-Term Insurance Broker focusing on New Business Development, you will be the face of the company, engaging directly with prospective clients (leads are fully supplied via inbound channels and internal department collaborations.) This is an active, on-the-road role where you will use your expertise in both personal and commercial lines to deliver tailored insurance solutions from a wide range of leading South African insurers. Key Responsibilities Achieve a monthly target of R5,000.00 in new business commissions (typically 10-12 policies per month) using provided, high-quality inbound and internal leads. Conduct thorough due diligence assessments to determine client risk categorisation. Identify client needs and conduct formal needs analyses to recommend optimal insurance coverage. Source and compare comprehensive quotations from major insurers (including Santam, Old Mutual, Discovery, Momentum, and King Price). Meet with clients face-to-face to present quotation comparisons and explain insurance options clearly. Provide compliant, expert insurance advice and document it in a detailed Record of Advice (ROA). Ensure absolute compliance with FAIS, FICA, and POPI Act regulations throughout the onboarding process. Gather, verify, and complete all necessary client onboarding documentation and questionnaires. Manage and maintain an active pipeline to ensure consistent monthly target achievement. Requirements Matric \/ Grade 12 certificate. RE5 Regulatory Examination certification. ( Non negotiable ) Relevant NQF Level 4 or 5 qualification with a minimum of 120 credits. Class of Business certificates in both Personal Lines and Commercial Lines. Proven experience successfully managing both personal and commercial lines portfolios. Valid South African driver's license and your own reliable vehicle.
