Our client is looking for an experienced Software Development Manager, who can oversee programmers and get them to develop software to spec and on time. The bonus will be the ability to think outside the box and convert ideas into programs i.e., create and make software

Required Qualifications:

IT, Project and /or Business Management qualification

Preferably - C, Delphi, Python, Android

Preferably - AGILE Scrum Certification

Experience required:

A minimum of 5 years Software Development experience

A minimum of 3 years Software Project Management

A proven track record of successful project delivery

Key Accountabilities:
Responsibilities:

Create, Plan and Manage the development of software solutions

Oversee the ongoing drive to increase efficiency, optimisation, innovation, and people development in these environments

Manage resourcing and capacity planning

Leading and working in an agile development environment

Crafting roadmaps

Managing project budget

Using technical skills to support and guide a technical team

Establish priorities and successfully manage deliverables

Deliver consistent release management, on time, on scope and withing the required quality standards

Provide various progress reports

Identify training needs in line with company goals and ensure team training takes place

Responsible for continuous process improvement

Manage client expectations and scope adjustments

Time Track reporting daily

Manage backlog refinement with the Client/Product Owner

Manage, design, estimation, and quality activities by ensuring design documentation quality, tracking actual vs estimates, and maintaining a 95% success rate.

Utilizing communication and relationship management skills to engage with stakeholders

Using leadership to influence in other areas

Coding languages and principles (Delphi, C, Python, Java, Android)

Resource Planning

Ability to manage Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies

Performance Management

Scrum Principles (tracking, capacity, efficiency planning, ceremonies)

Experience with task tracking tools
