SUMMARY:
The Role:

We are looking for a Solutions Architect with strong IT Skills concerning frontend development and test automation, to join our DevOps team. This is a new feature team that will be setup consisting of developers with Java (SE and EE) and Angular skills as well as cloud skills (kubernetes) and SAP, based in Midrand/Rosslyn.

• 7 Years custom digital solution development (advantageous)
• Agile working experience (advantageous)
• Minimum of 3 years working experience as a Technical Solutions Architect
• Relevant IT Diploma/Degree
• Certified Kubernetes Developer (advantageous)

 

• Willing and able to travel extensively, for up to 3 times a year for 2 weeks at a time (international)

• Experience in documenting business processes using BPMN
• Sound knowledge in XRAY (Jira plugin for Testing)
• Experience in development (Java (EE), Angular)
• Some experience with kubernetes

8 years experience using front-end and back-end technologies such as:

• Java (SE/EE)
• Selenium
• Typescript
• JavaScript
• Angular
• HTML 5
• Excellent communication skills and team-oriented work behaviour in a distributed team
• Experience of agile methodologies, particularly Scrum
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Delivery tools ( Jenkins, Bitbucket)
• Experience with Jira and Confluence
• Fit for business purpose mind-set, i.e. the solutions provided must meet the business goals
• Strong ability to understand and interpret business needs and requirements with the ability to move concepts through to proposal and finally successful implementation

• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and written) with both technical and non-technical colleagues/users
• Ability to work as part of a team, inter dependant as well as independently and submit deliverables on time and in excellent quality. Self-starter
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Above board work ethics â?? this is of utmost importance
• Flexibility to take up different tasks in the project
• Ability and willingness to coach and give training to fellow colleagues and users when required

• Ensure that all processes are investigated / considered in obtaining the specifications of the user requirements (DoR)
• Involve all stakeholders (Business/Developers/QA) in solution design
• Lead explorations if needed to deliver Epics and User Stories from a Saga (story mapping)
• Document processes needed for development of features using BPMN 
• Define, execute and document the manual test cases (using Jira Xray)
• Support the development of backend or frontend features
