POSITION INFO:
A leading organisation is seeking a Solutions Expert Team Leader to oversee the deployment, support, and continuous improvement of critical business applications. This position combines technical leadership, project management, business process optimisation, and stakeholder engagement to ensure successful system delivery and ongoing operational support. The successful candidate will lead a team of system specialists responsible for software implementation, user support, application enhancements, system continuity, and training. Working closely with internal teams, external vendors, and business stakeholders, you will ensure technology solutions align with business objectives and deliver measurable value. This role is ideal for a driven leader who enjoys managing people, solving complex operational challenges, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the day-to-day activities and prioritisation of the Solutions Expert team. Coordinate demand planning and project delivery activities with internal stakeholders. Mentor and develop team members through coaching and skills development. Manage the end-to-end implementation of business applications and software solutions. Oversee application design, configuration, testing, and deployment activities. Lead go-live planning, deployment readiness reviews, and release management processes. Ensure system stability, continuity, and effective issue resolution. Coordinate bug management, escalation processes, and stakeholder communications. Gather and analyse business requirements to support system enhancements. Translate business requirements into technical solutions alongside project teams and vendors. Conduct training sessions, create training materials, and support user adoption initiatives. Drive continuous improvement through process optimisation and system enhancements. Manage relationships with vendors, third-party providers, and internal stakeholders. Job Experience and Skills Required Degree in Business Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Project Management qualification or certification. Proven experience managing software implementations and business applications. Strong project management experience. Prior experience leading technical or application support teams. Experience working with business stakeholders and cross-functional project teams. Exposure to software deployment, support, and change management environments. Experience managing vendor relationships and third-party service providers. Knowledge of Transport Management Systems. SQL experience. Exposure to financial reporting processes. Experience within logistics, freight forwarding, transport, or supply chain environments. Strong leadership and team development abilities. Excellent project management and organisational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to translate business requirements into practical solutions. Strong training, coaching, and mentoring capabilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
