Specialist: Business Development (Cybersecurity experience required)

SUMMARY:
The Specialist: Business Development will join the Cryptography and Digital Identity sales team. The successful candidate will drive business development and sales activities with new and potential clients, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven sales professional with a deep understanding of cryptographic technologies and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) including certificate lifecycle management, digital signing, encryption standards, and trust hierarchies to bring genuine technical credibility to client engagements. The ideal candidate will be comfortable translating complex PKI and data security concepts into compelling business value propositions for audiences ranging from technical architects to C-suite executives. A passion for ICT and cybersecurity solutions, combined with hands-on familiarity with encryption toolsets and key management frameworks, will enable the successful candidate to become a trusted advisor to clients and contribute meaningfully to the company’s growth objectives.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities: Key Account Management Build and maintain professional relationships with colleagues responsible for client engagement and delivery to ensure a sound understanding of the client's roadmap of risk reduction. Develop and deliver an integrated account plan per customer. Leverage knowledge to identify new sales opportunities. Understand the client's organizational structure to ensure relationships are built with all relevant stakeholders at varying levels of seniority. Drive and oversee the sales process from opportunity identification to close as well as invoicing. Drive collaboration and provide a holistic and integrated view for the entire account to relevant parties. New Business Development Continuous high-level market research to broadly understand potential customer challenges, objectives, product\/service offerings and competitor activity. Develop and implement sales growth plans and response tactics to competitor activity. Lead generation via professional networking within personal networks as well as through colleagues, vendors and existing clients. Conduct introductory presentations to new potential clients and engage the client in the full sales cycle. Marketing Activities Participate in the execution of marketing plans where required. Seek out PR and marketing opportunities and escalate internally. Attend and represent the Company at marketing events. Ensure a strong current and potential customer presence at all relevant events. Sales and General Administration Timely and accurate updating of the HubSpot CRM system. Develop and conduct custom sales presentations to all levels of stakeholders. Write proposals to clients, liaising with relevant stakeholders to obtain required information. Respond to tenders, RFQs and RFPs to an agreed standard and methodology. Timely follow up of purchase orders, invoices and general documentation. Create, present and implement account plans that include sales forecasts, targets and KPIs. Prepare for and attend weekly sales meetings, monthly sales reviews and quarterly account plan feedback presentations. Coach, support and mentor technical colleagues in their participation in the sales process Education Grade 12 (Matric). A tertiary qualification in business administration, sales, IT or marketing will be advantageous. Experience Minimum 3 years' B2B sales experience of complex products or solutions to senior managers and executives of mid-tier and enterprise organisations. ICT or Cybersecurity experience will prove to be a distinct advantage. Proven track record of achievement against defined targets. Skills & Competencies Knowledge of and experience in managing sales processes and cycles. Superior communication skills: written, verbal and presentation. Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills. Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint. High-level understanding of IT and technology concepts. Understanding of PKI, Encryption toolsets, Data Security and Data Governance Above average attention to detail and commercial acumen.
