A leading public sector institution is recruiting a Specialist: Tax Avoidance and Reportable Arrangements to join a high-impact team focused on ensuring corporate compliance and reducing revenue leakage. This is a vital role for an analytical thinker with a strong background in tax legislation, international tax, and auditing.

The successful candidate will play a key role in reviewing Pillar Two GloBE submissions and analysing reportable arrangements to identify potential tax avoidance risks and ensure full compliance with applicable legislation.

Key Duties:

• Analyse the GloBE Information Tax Return (GIR) for risk exposure and avoidance indicators
• Identify legislative loopholes and evaluate tax compliance from multinational enterprises
• Recommend actions based on the review of financial disclosures and public announcements
• Investigate and resolve queries while escalating unresolved issues where necessary
• Collaborate with internal teams and provide expert guidance to key stakeholders
• Contribute to continuous improvement of tax review processes and risk frameworks

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree / Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in Taxation, Accounting, Auditing, or related field
• 5–7 years’ experience in taxation, international tax, or auditing (including 3–4 years at junior specialist level)
  OR
• Senior Certificate (NQF 4) with 15 years’ experience in a similar environment, including 3 years at junior specialist level
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in reviewing complex financial information and applying tax legislation
