Stationary and Consumables Sales Consultant

Job Description

• Learn to use all the company software that is available to you to service existing customers as well as to source new customers for the company.
• Plan your sales pitch and compile lists of your specific customers that you are working with.
• Work within the framework of budget turnover and gross profit
• Communicate with customers when enquiries come in and effectively communicate what product or service would suit their needs best.

• Prospecting for new clients via all platforms available to you and communicating with prospective clients, new or existing.
• Ensure that all your documentation is sorted before calling on a client and always make sure that you identify the needs of the customers correctly.
• Explain the benefits of using the client's product or service in a clear and professional manner.
• Offer on going customer support, meaning when deliveries of goods or if services have been rendered, always follow up with the client and obtain feedback.

• Update and maintain customer information on the companies software programs
• Communicate with internal personnel, regarding your quotations and if need be loss of business due to competitors.
• Keep a record of Petrol usage and report to the correct line of managers.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License (Code 08) is essential
• Proficient in MS Office, Excel with excellent computer skills knowledge.
• Great telephone manner and can communicate well with customers in Afrikaans and English.
• Numerical Skills
• Selling Skills is a must, with a great track record

• At least 5 years sales experience, with a proven track record in exceeding targets
• Relevant Sales or Marketing qualification would be an advantage
• Own transport is essential
• Valid Driver’s Licence
