SUMMARY:
Are you a tax-savvy Accountant ready to transition into a role with genuine seniority and departmental ownership? Our client, a well-established and growing organization, is looking for a professional to take full charge of their finance department. This is a rare opportunity to move beyond standard reporting and manage the entire finance lifecycle - from general ledger oversight to complex statutory compliance - while reporting directly to the CEO.

POSITION INFO:
Our client prizes financial governance and accuracy above all else. You will work within a collaborative, fast-paced environment where your expertise in navigating complex tax landscapes will be highly valued. This role offers high levels of independence and the chance to act as the primary lead for external audits, budgeting, and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the general ledger and lead the month-end and year-end closing cycles.
Ensure full alignment with VAT, PAYE, and Corporate Income Tax, alongside B-BBEE and FICA regulations.
Draft management accounts and provide critical input for budgeting and cash flow analysis.
Prepare all documentation and serve as the main point of contact for external auditors.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or Finance.
Minimum of 3+ years in a dedicated accounting and tax role.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and experience with modern accounting systems.
Proven track record in financial reporting, complex tax reconciliations, and IFRS/GAAP standards.
