Naidu Consulting is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Structural Engineer/Technologist with a minimum of 3 years’ experience to join our dynamic Bridges and Buildings Division in the Western Cape office.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a well-established consulting engineering firm involved in a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and building projects across South Africa.

Key Responsibilities

• Structural analysis and design of bridges, buildings, and associated infrastructure
• Preparation of detailed drawings, specifications, and reports
• Conduct site inspections, condition assessments, and compile technical reports
• Assist with contract administration and construction supervision
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and client requirements
• Liaise with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and contractors

• BSc / BEng / BTech in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in structural engineering
• Experience in bridge and/or building design
• Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., Prokon, MIDAS, or similar)
• Working knowledge of South African design standards and codes
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and report writing abilities
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• High level of attention to detail and quality
