R45 000 CTC – Suitable Candidate Must Meet Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics  Management or Supply Chain
• Minimum of 5 years’ management experience in a logistics focused role
• Experience in the FMCG industry
• Drivers licence and own reliable vehicle 
• Record of successful distribution and logistics management
• Proficient in Computer knowledge, at least intermediate MS Excel
• Proficient in speaking, reading and writing in English with report writing skills and compilation ability

My client is seeking to employ a motivated and dynamic candidate with excellent people skills as well as meticulous attention to detail. The incumbent will be responsible for  managing the overall outbound logistics as well as its resources to ensure that operations are handled seamlessly. The scope of responsibility includes detailed mathematical analysis and demand planning which will entail the management and control of capital and operating costs

Duties

• Overseeing and leading the Logistics Team
• Demand Planning and monthly review of forecasts
• Oversee cycle counting as well as quarterly and financial year end stock takes
• Follow procedures on stock rotation and manage preparation of orders after hours
• Overview of stock on the Access system and verifying stock accuracy
• Responsible for CHEP pallet account
• Prepare monthly management reports as well as daily operational reports e.g. customer orders, yield analysis, trend & variance analysis
• Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiencies
• Fleet maintenance and management
• Implement & review Service Level Agreements
• Special projects and additional duties as assigned.
