POSITION INFO:
About the Role This is a pivotal leadership position within a leading FMCG manufacturing organisation, reporting directly to the Finance Director. You will be responsible for driving financial excellence across supply chain operations and ensuring seamless month-end and group reporting for a growing, dynamic business with a strong international presence. Supply Chain Finance & Operations Oversee the accurate and timely reporting of factory overheads, distribution costs, and material usage\/price variances. Manage inventory valuation, obsolete stock provisions, and stock write-offs. Drive quarterly and annual stock counts to ensure inventory integrity. Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes for all supply chain operations. Support cost-saving initiatives and develop financial models for capital investments and productivity improvements. Publish performance dashboards (Inventory Days, Gross Margin) to facilitate strategic decision-making. Drive the automation and standardisation of reporting using ERP systems and BI tools. Local and Group Financial Reporting Lead month-end close activities and Final Trial Balance processes in line with group requirements. Produce monthly MIS reports (Balance Sheet, P&L, and Cash Flow) with detailed analysis of factory cost variances. Act as the primary liaison with international group reporting teams to ensure alignment and accuracy. Ensure the reconciliation and integrity of inventory, accruals, intercompany balances, and other balance sheet accounts. Oversee compliance with all group accounting policies and reporting standards. Champion continuous improvement in reporting accuracy and efficiency through automation. CAPEX and Assets Manage the supply chain capex budgeting process. Oversee the capitalisation of new assets and maintain the accuracy of the Fixed Asset Register. Ensure periodic asset tagging and physical verification protocols are followed. Governance, Tax, and Banking Manage internal and external audit requirements and maintain robust internal controls. Oversee local tax filings, transfer pricing, and CbCR compliance. Manage insurance risk relationships and liaise with partner banks regarding local facilities. Qualifications CA(SA) or CIMA qualification is essential. Experience 8 to 10 years of post-article experience within an FMCG, manufacturing, or supply chain environment. At least 5 years of experience in a senior management role. Proven track record in managing month-end close and group reporting within a multinational context. High proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (e.g., Syspro or SAP). Demonstrated experience in developing Power BI reporting and dashboards. Competencies Strong commercial acumen with a proactive, \"can-do\" approach to problem-solving.
