JOB SUMMARY:
Our Client in the Security Industry is looking for a Support Technician based in the East Rand

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements:
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE:

Understanding of RF communication
Knowledge of networks and network infrastructure
Knowledge of alarm communication technology in the security industry.
Knowledge of the operations within the security industry.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Degree or completed coursework in engineering or electronics.
A Relevant certificate or license may be required.
2 years of direct customer interaction.
2 years of experience with alarm control panels on a senior technician level.
Good communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
Driver’s license and own car.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

Technical Support Desk - National and international support.
Custodian of Technical Support Mailbox.
Assist customers with Control Room design
Network Maintenance - Set-up and testing of New Base and Repeater equipment
Equipment Testing - Testing of RDC products
Assist with development product testing.
Create manuals
Fault finding down to component level.
Technical Reporting - Compiling of weekly technical reports
Sales Support - Assist sales with technical queries as needed, Attend sales meetings in a technical capacity.
Achieve certain goals in terms of customer maintenance and contracts.
Field Support - After hours Standby duty for a 7 day period as determined by business requirements and according to a predetermined schedule.
Training - Conducting training sessions for customers on company products as the business requires.
