SUMMARY:
System Analyst (24 months contract)

POSITION INFO:

PURPOSE:
To translate business processes into technical system specification for all new and existing systems in the organisation.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

System Analysis

1. Develop technical/functional system requirements for all new and existing systems in the organisation based on re-engineered business processes.
2. Design testing standards for systems.
3. Define application problem after consultation with all relevant stakeholders.
4. Evaluate procedures and processes.
5. Design solutions by preparing and evaluating alternative solutions
6. Ensure that all systems are aligned with the Enterprise Architecture and organizational strategy.
7. Collaborating with Business Analysts, Project and IT team to resolve issues and ensuring solutions are viable and consistent
8. Creating system guidelines and operating standards
9. Structuring and prioritising business requirements and communicating plans with stakeholders for review and approval

Continuous improvement

1. Continuous research into new and innovative systems.
2. Monitoring industry trends and assess their application in the organisation.
3. Drive continuous improvement to ensure optimal achievement of business strategy and objectives.
4. Conducting regular reviews of systems and generating reports on efficiencies and improvement areas

Projects

1.Actively participate in all IT projects forming part of the transformation agenda.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• B Degree/B Tech
• 8 years relevant experience
