JOB SUMMARY:
My client is looking for an Honours qualified Mechanical Systems Engineer who has experience in Industrial Equipment. The ideal candidate would have 5 years' experience in design and project management.

Industry experience (food, plastic, woodwork, medical, automotive, packaging, oil and gas or wastewater).

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements:

Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Must have experience in Industrial equipment (system design, project management, and proposals).
Minimum 5 years' experience in a high-pressure, high pace Project environment.
Management and Systems Building role.
Industry experience (food, plastic, woodwork, medical, automotive, packaging, oil and gas or wastewater).
Experienced in Solidworks preferred CAD Software.
Must-Have experience in , buying, facilitating, and
Experience in FDA standards, Hygienic design standards would bean advantage.

Duties and responsibilities:

Assisting the Sales team with the demand for technical support on potential prospects of better and more efficient vacuum systems.
Assisting Sales team with detailed/budget proposals for systems
enquires which they are required to bring forward.
On-site technical support for the Sales and Service team to do system commissioning, overseeing installations and customer advice.
Submitting technical tenders on project opportunities.
Design systems on Solidworks or other CAD software, both 3D models and manufacturing drawings.
Submit to Buying department – Bill of Materials to purchase for a system build and manage the delivery there of.
Manage customer expectations to meet Systems delivery times.
Project Manage Systems from order to completion.
Drive positive customer service through appropriate attitude and action.
Complete the required reports on time (weekly and monthly)
Develop and implement strategies with the technical team.
On-site problem solving as a supporting function for Sales.
Expand the systems offering within the various segments,
Assist with training of customers and colleagues.
Regular presentations to customers.
Attendance and assisting at trade shows/exhibitions
Work in all sectors of the market (petrochemical, health, food processing, beverage, automotive, plastics, paper, wood etc.)
Focus on systems work to provide the business with a constant supply of systems to put out.
