Reputable and established Asset Management firm is offering this exciting training role within their dynamic Private Equity division.
Strong emphasis is placed on candidates acquiring their CFA certification. The work-based learning opportunities are excellent and the ideal candidate would be expected to embrace a steep learning curve.
One would describe you as possessing an excellent work ethic and exhibiting proven analytical skills.
The Trainee Analyst will work with a highly successful and experience investment team and will assist in sourcing, consolidating, filtering, capturing and communicating supporting data and information. They will learn about multiple industries and companies.
Duties and responsibilities
A Trainee Analyst will initially be responsible for:
- Studying and passing the CFA exam
- Sourcing and analysing industry information
- Analysing companies’ operational and financial performance
- Modelling and forecasting various variables
- Ad hoc requests
- Successful Trainee Analysts who master these responsibilities will then be encouraged to assist the Senior Analyst/Portfolio Manager in wider aspects of the research process.
Requirements
Candidates are required to demonstrate:
- Strong academic results with a relevant qualification from a reputable University with a Quantitative / Accounting focus
- Strong results are usually quantified as consistently achieving more than 70% for most core courses - require evidence of good marks in relatively rigorous courses
- Committed to achieving a CFA qualification
- A high level of initiative, self-motivation, interest, drive, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Genuine interest in researching and understanding how companies operate, in addition to awareness of financial markets
- Ability to multitask and to manage bandwidth across multiple varied projects at once
