SUMMARY:

Senior Linux Client Engineer

Are you passionate about Linux engineering, automation, security, and delivering highly reliable client platforms? We are looking for a Senior Linux Client Engineer to lead the design, development, and operation of our standardized Linux client environment across both office and production landscapes.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring our Linux platforms are secure, compliant, stable, and aligned with business objectives while supporting modern digital workplace and manufacturing operations.

POSITION INFO:
Essential Skills Strong experience administering enterprise Linux environments: Ubuntu Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS . Hands-on expertise with: Ansible Automation Platform Ansible Tower GitHub GitOps methodologies Strong scripting and automation skills using: Bash Python Perl Solid understanding of: DNS DHCP SSH TCP\/IP Networking Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana . Familiarity with IT Service Management platforms including ServiceNow . Experience working with Agile delivery practices and Jira. Role & Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain Linux client platforms for office and production environments. Define and continuously enhance client functionality to meet business and operational requirements. Build and maintain Linux base images, software packages, and configuration standards. Ensure compliance with security, hardening, and regulatory requirements. Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement remediation activities. Install, configure, administer, and support Linux systems across physical, virtual, and cloud-based infrastructures. Monitor system health and performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and maintain operational stability. Automate deployment, configuration, and operational processes to improve efficiency and reliability. Manage patching, updates, and Linux platform lifecycle activities. Support Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes. Maintain technical documentation, CMDB records, knowledge articles, and operational procedures. Track and manage Jira user stories and operational tasks in an Agile environment. Collaborate closely with infrastructure, cloud, security, and application teams. Lead operational discussions and drive continuous service improvement initiatives. Participate in on-call support and scheduled maintenance activities when required.
