POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Managing corporate tax accounting and compliance across multiple African countries
Reviewing statutory tax returns including Corporate Income Tax, VAT, Withholding Tax and Stamp Duty
Overseeing quarterly and annual tax provision calculations for reporting purposes
Supporting internal control and SOX reporting processes and ensuring strong tax governance
Liaising with internal finance teams and external tax service providers to resolve tax matters

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Minimum BCom Degree or equivalent (tax specialization beneficial)
At least 5 years’ experience in Tax Accounting and Tax Compliance
Experience working with tax across the African region
Experience within a multinational group
Completed articles and/or CA qualification will be considered favorably
Strong technical knowledge of direct and indirect taxes
Solid experience with corporate tax, VAT, withholding tax and related areas
Ability to work across multiple countries and engage with diverse finance teams
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Independent, organized, proactive - you get things done without being chased
Must have proven experience in African tax
Comfortable working in a complex multinational environment
