Key Responsibilities

Depending on the environment, typical focus areas include:
Managing the full tax function across corporate, indirect tax and VAT.
Providing tax advisory support on restructures, transactions and compliance matters.
Reviewing and preparing complex tax computations and returns.
Liaising with SARS, auditors, and senior stakeholders.
Identifying tax risks and optimisation opportunities for the business.

Job Experience and Skills Required

BCom in Tax / Accounting or similar.
Honours or Master’s in Tax is highly preferred.
Professional Memberships (Strong Advantage): SAIT membership, TA(SA), bonus if you are also a CA(SA).
±5 years’ experience in a full tax function environment.
Exposure to corporate tax, VAT and advisory work.
Experience from consulting, corporate, or mixed environments.
Strong technical tax knowledge.
Commercial mindset, not just compliance.
Confident communicator with stakeholders.
Proficient in MS Excel and tax software platforms.
