POSITION INFO:
Technical Accountant – Johannesburg North

Requirements:

Required to perform reconciliations and ensure that all financial data is accurate and up to date
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for senior management and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
Liaise with underwriters and other stakeholders to gather information and resolve issues
Ensure that all financial practices are compliant with local and international financial regulations and standards
Preparation of the monthly technical payments analysis and submission for payment
Preparation of quarterly reinsurance accounts to send to various reinsurers and facilitate payments for the reinsurance accounts to/from reinsurers
Preparation of reinsurance profit commission calculations to send to various reinsurers and facilitate payments due to/from reinsurers

Job Experience & Skill Required:

BCom Degree in Accounting or Finance
Qualified CA(SA) or completed SAICA articles and eligible to write Boards
1+ year of post-articles commercial experience within Insurance
