POSITION INFO:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Technical Business Analyst to join their team. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions, ensuring IT systems effectively support organisational objectives. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders and technical teams to define, analyse, and document requirements, contributing to innovative and efficient solutions.
Key Responsibilities would include:

• Plan the business analysis approach for assigned projects, including stakeholder engagement, identification, analysis, and categorisation.
• Assess IT systems and provide recommendations to improve alignment with business needs.
• Collaborate with team members to understand organisational and operational challenges.
• Determine objectives of IT service requests and prioritise stakeholder requirements accordingly.
• Discover, organise, and clarify business needs, producing and reviewing specifications for change.
• Define objectives and scope of business systems and document functional and non-functional requirements.
• Prepare detailed requirement specifications using case statements and related documentation.
• Plan, organise, and facilitate work sessions to gather business requirements.
• Build business process models using modeling languages to demonstrate system interactions.
• Review and refine requirements based on proposed solutions.
• Research, evaluate, and source possible system solutions.
• Conduct status meetings with stakeholders to provide updates and reprioritise work efforts.
• Collaborate with application and software development teams on design, development, and defect management.
• Work with testing teams to define test criteria and test plans ensuring functional requirements are met.
• Manage and maintain documented requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
• Use requirements to guide the design or review of test cases, process change requests, and manage project scope, acceptance, installation, and deployment.
• Provide coaching and guidance to less experienced business analysts.
• Construct interface wireframes detailing user journeys and system logic.

• Proficient in data analysis with strong logical thinking.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong understanding of business functional areas.
• Ability to problem-solve and apply methodologies to prepare detailed specifications.
• Knowledge of requirements specification standards and development practices.
• Working knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Ability to elicit requirements and write technical documentation.
• Strong research, presentation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to make sound judgments and view problems from multiple perspectives (business, user, and technical).
• Ability to work collaboratively with developers to find technically viable solutions.
• Deep knowledge of BA standardized practices (BABOK).

• Minimum of 4-5 years of progressive IT business analysis experience.
• Experience using process/functional requirements definition methods.
• Strong background with analytical techniques, including Interface Analysis, Feasibility Analysis, and SWOT Analysis.
• Experience facilitating stakeholder meetings and delivering presentations.
• Experience working in agile team environments and using agile methodologies (user stories, story mapping, etc.).
