Company & Job Description

An organisation that specialises in food logistics & manufacturing is looking to hire a Technical Director located in Senegal, Dakar. The Technical Director will be responsible for managing the facilities & staff of the production plant. This is a strategic role with a great opportunity to try something new! Expats are welcome to apply.

Duties:

Manage operations for flour & feed mill
Ensure plant maintenance to limit downtime
Oversee training curriculum for training schools in all locations
Oversee wheat & other raw material sampling
Quality Control for all flour types in production
Cost Control based on cost per unit
Safety of the plant, people & production by ensuring that a detailed plan is in place
Oversee technical training of key staff
Prepare detailed project plans
Daily, weekly & monthly industrial reporting
Team management to ensure customer satisfaction & timely deliveries

Job Experience & Skills Required:

French & English-speaking essential

Technical Degree

Operational handling of grain ports essential

10 years+ in milling/ flour milling operations management

5 years+ people management experience

ISO 22000 & HACCP experience essential

Experience with wide range of bakery products
