SUMMARY:
Main Purpose
â¼ a critical liaison between the Proposals Department and the Engineering Department.
â¼ ensures technical accuracy, feasibility, and alignment of proposed solutions with client
requirements.

POSITION INFO:
Qualifications and Experience
â¼ At least 5 years work experience in the transformer and minisubs industry.
â¼ Matric with a recognised and relevant technical sales qualification – N3.

Duties and Responsibilities
â¼ Supervise and mentor Proposal Engineers, providing technical guidance and proposal
strategy insights.
â¼ Support Cost Estimation - Coordinating with engineering and procurement for materials,
equipment, and labour estimates.
â¼ Manage technical queries and clarifications during bid phases.
â¼ Serve as the primary technical authority in the proposal process, reviewing and approving
technical deliverables, methodologies, and solutions.
â¼ Ensure compliance with RFP/RFQ requirements, technical specifications, and internal
standards.
â¼ Maintain and improve standard technical proposal materials and best practices.
â¼ Drive continuous improvement in proposal processes, templates, and standard technical
content.
â¼ Maintain a library of standard technical content, engineering recommendations, and past
project data to support future proposals.
â¼ Interface with engineering teams to gather technical inputs, validate feasibility, and ensure
accurate costing and deliverables.
â¼ Prepare and review technical sections of proposals, including design concepts,
methodologies, and technical clarifications.
â¼ Participate in technical clarifications and presentations to clients, when needed.
â¼ Track and document all technical assumptions, exclusions, and deviations in proposals.
Customers:
â¼ Assisting customers with technical queries.
â¼ Provide technical support to customers.
â¼ Regularly following up with clients as to the status / success of tenders / quotations submitted
and part take in pre-order negotiations.
â¼ Site inspections.
