Technical Sales Executive (Food)

R700k plus bonus

Gauteng

Outstanding opportunity with leading global specialist chemical distributor. Reporting to the Business Manager you will be responsible for:

To identify new customers, develop and promote sales to them by presenting the range of products available.
To offer prompt, effective technical support to customers according to a call plan in order to maintain existing business and close customer contact, resolve customer queries or complaints and develop new markets.
To promote new products to both existing and potential customers.
To assist with product trials when required to do so by customers.
To compile a detailed monthly report for the supervising Business Manager.
To achieve budgeted sales and margins as defined annually.
To obtain, record and update detailed information on the usage of products by customers.
Ensure that updated prices are communicated to customers.
To report on market activities and competitor activity to the Business Manager in accordance with the companyâ€™s Reporting Procedure.
Follow up bad debts under direction from Accounts department.

Qualifications and experience

Tertiary qualification in food technology.
Minimum five years recent sales experience of food ingredients / raw materials
The position will be focused on Baking, Dairy, Flavor, Savory, Condiments & Sauces, Confectionery, Prepared foods, Beverage and Meat sectors of the food industry
