POSITION INFO:
We are seeking a dynamic Sales Engineer to drive business development, client retention, and distributor management across South Africa. Reporting to the Sales Director, the role focuses on mining, petrochemical, industrial, and energy sectors with responsibility for revenue growth, profitability, and strategic relationships. Requirements: Technical degree (engineering\/instrumentation\/automation) + business\/marketing qualification advantageous 3+ years technical sales\/business development in mining or industrial sectors Strong knowledge of instrumentation, flow measurement, and automation systems Proven track record in market expansion, contract negotiation, and commercial management Valid driver's license; willingness to travel extensively Key Functions: Develop and grow regional markets, build sustainable sales pipeline Manage distributors: set targets, training, performance reviews Customer relationship management: site visits, issue resolution, debt collection support Market intelligence: CRM reporting, forecasting, competitor insights Attributes: Entrepreneurial, commercially minded, proactive, strong communicator, culturally adaptable, able to influence stakeholders and operate independently.
