SUMMARY:
A Technical Sales Representative position has become available in the Paper Technologies division, of this international organisation, based in Cape Town.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required:

Degree/National Diploma in Pulp and Paper / Chemistry / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Chemical Engineering is a pre-requisite.
Min 2 years relevant Technical Sales experience with relevant tertiary chemical qualification OR; 10 years’ experience in a Sales role in the Pulp & Paper industry.
Proficiency in Microsoft packages and understand business systems essential.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Retain and expand business to grow sales and profit margins to achieve business objectives.
Ensure sustainability and growth of a specific account/accounts.
Ensure existing applications and equipment are maintained and technical services are performed to ensure optimal performance.
Ensure that the sales efforts are aligned with overall marketing strategy.
Maintain and improve SHERQ performance to deliver targeted sales at the lowest possible risk to the company.
Ensure that all projects and Continuous Improvement opportunities are documented and prioritised.

Able handle pressure.
Problem solver with a practical approach.
Team member who is self-motivated.
Organized and self-disciplined.
Prepared to travel.
Advanced writing skills and in particular technical report writing.
Driver’s license.
