Technical Sales Representative Speciality Plant Nutrition

SUMMARY:
A multinational agrochemical company specialising in the plant nutrition sector, for the horticultural, ornamental, fruit markets and grains is seeking a dynamic Technical Sales Representative to promote the company’s products and provide expert advice to farmers and distributors within the assigned areas.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have a tertiary qualification in Agriculture, ideally in Soil Sciences or Plant Nutrition
• At least 3 years’ sales and/or technical experience within the agricultural industry would be required
• Previous Plant Nutrition experience would be an added advantage
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Excellent communication and relationship skills are essential

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Visiting Clients (Distributors and / or Farmers) in the assigned area to promote and sell the company''s products.
• Providing expert technical advice to clients aimed to identify business opportunities that allow the increase of sales in a sustained manner.
• Preparing the budgets (sales and expenses) of the assigned area in time, and ensuring compliance and control.
• Implementing business strategies and their defined action plan (in the Balance Score Card).
• Executing the marketing strategies defined to position the company’s brands.
• Managing the working capital and resources allocated to the sales area (inventory, portfolio and fixed assets).
• Carrying out the activities of business development, inventory control, billing and collection management, in the assigned sales area.
• Creating monthly, quarterly and annual reports on the results of the KPIs and the BSC of the assigned area.
• Implementing, in conjunction with the Technical Team, technical support strategies for Distributors and Farmers in their assigned area, to promote the sale of the company''s products..

Salary package is highly negotiable depending on experience
