Technical Sales Specialist - Diagnostic / Pathology Industry

SUMMARY:
A well-known dynamic Life Sciences and Clinical Diagnostic Distribution Company, requires the above to drive and maintain New Business growth and Key Account Management within South Africa and Southern Africa.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

• A Diploma or Degree in Life Sciences or Diagnostic Pathology or related fields is pref.  A Post-graduate Certificate would be advantageous.
• Previous experience having sold Diagnostic, Pathology equipment, Immunohistochemistry, Flow Cytometry or Histology Products or related products into the industry is essential.
• Previous experience having worked in a Medical Laboratory is pref.
• Previous experience having liaised with Key Opinion Leaders in the Pathology field as well as having a good understanding of the Industry is pref.
• The successful candidate should have a high level of etiquette and analytical skills when interacting with customers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Maintaining communication with Pathologists, Head of Departments and Procurements within private and Provincial Pathology Laboratories throughout South Africa.
• Maintaining and building strong business relationships with established clients as well as developing new accounts and promoting new products with existing Key Accounts.
• Scheduling Sales visits and planning meeting with existing and potential new customers in South African and Southern Africa.
• Developing product Management strategies, managing Overseas Principals and their product range.
• Compiling budget and target planning.
• Maintaining high level Technical Discussions with Key Opinion leaders with in the industry, building strong relationships with Key Accounts.
• Providing customers with technical support and training.
• Working closely with Field Service Engineers, and Senior Technical staff when problem solving on site.
• Attending overseas training on the latest technology and equipment that will be promoted in the industry.

Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
