A leading industrial solutions provider in the mining and bulk materials handling sector is seeking a Technical Specialist to join their growing team. This role is ideal for a hands-on Mechanical or Materials Engineer with experience in wear lining, corrosion protection, and site-based project work within mining or heavy industry.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities: Assess plant equipment and identify wear, abrasion, and corrosion challenges Design and specify wear lining solutions (ceramic, rubber, polyurethane, composite linings) Recommend and oversee corrosion protection systems and industrial coatings Plan and supervise site installations and maintenance projects Ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to specification Conduct site inspections, audits, and troubleshooting Engage with clients, present technical solutions, and provide ongoing support Collaborate with engineering teams to develop cost-effective and durable solutions Requirements: National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or similar 3-6 years' experience in: Wear lining \/ liner systems, Corrosion protection \/ industrial coatings, Bulk materials handling or mining environments Experience on mining or heavy industrial sites (essential) Knowledge of: Ceramic, rubber, or polyurethane lining systems Protective coatings and surface preparation standards (SANS \/ SSPC advantageous) Ability to diagnose equipment wear and failure issues Ideal Candidate Technically strong and solutions-driven Comfortable in a client-facing engineering role Hands-on with strong site experience Highly organised with a safety-first mindset Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously Willing to travel nationally to client sites Please consider your application as unsuccessful should you not receive a response within 14 days of sending your application.
