POSITION INFO:
The Role:

We are looking for a Test Data Engineer for a long term contract. Initially 12 months.

Purpose:  Provide Data support services for the various test and application teams...

The TDE will be responsible to ensure data is managed, obfuscated as well as data generation use cases are met as required by the specific team.

This would cover the following primary areas:

• Creation of Synthetic Data Generation templates for consumption by test automation and manual test teams or as needed for Performance test runs
• Provide a data obfuscation and masking service for all applications, or teams that contract with SGT services for Data management and provisioning
• Ensure projects are kept up to date with data requirements and version management as may be required by the development and test teams.
• Manage access rights and group permissions so that access is controlled and restricted.
• Monitor, manage create and monitor data provisioning workflows as needed whether part of an automated build or provisioning / data refresh cycle.

The TDE needs to understand data in both a relational format as well as a non-relation format.  The TDE should be able to work with the multiple DBâ??s that they will encounter in the role, and have a basic programming skill in terms of function building.

• Good Understanding of DBA and SQL coding
• Basic / functional Scripting competency
• Understanding how WSDL / XML and other flat file formats function and work and how to work with them
• Expert in the TDM Application and GRID tools
• Excellent Communication skills
• Good planning capabilities
• Basic understanding of the SDLC
• Know how to use, call and troubleshoot APIâ??s (especially where TDM API calls are being used as part of an automation or regression process)
• Functional in Javelin
• Fluent in MS Windows and Virtualized windows environments
• Knowledgeable in application installation and management.
• Good understanding of the testing lifecycle and role of the TCOE
• Functional understanding of CI/CD tools and allied DEVOPS tools.
