Location: Benoni Salary: R16 000 per month Department: IT Support (Support Division) Job Summary We are seeking a Tier 2 Technical Support \/ Systems Administrator to provide advanced technical support, systems administration, and infrastructure support. The successful candidate will act as the escalation point for Tier 1 support, ensuring efficient resolution of technical issues and maintaining core IT systems. Key Responsibilities Resolve escalated technical incidents and service requests. Administer Active Directory, Microsoft 365, user accounts, and permissions. Support Windows Server environments and Group Policy management. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and business applications. Perform endpoint management, patching, and software updates. Assist with server administration, backups, virtual environments, and infrastructure maintenance. Monitor systems, investigate recurring issues, and recommend improvements. Support IT projects, system upgrades, migrations, and deployments. Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles. Mentor Tier 1 technicians and promote best practices. Minimum Requirements Qualifications Matric CompTIA A+ CompTIA Network+ Microsoft Certification (Modern Desktop, Azure, or Microsoft 365) or equivalent Experience 3 to 5 years' experience in IT Support or Systems Administration Active Directory and Microsoft 365 administration Windows Server support Desktop and endpoint support Hardware troubleshooting and user administration Preferred Skills Microsoft Entra ID VMware or Hyper-V PowerShell DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies Microsoft Intune and endpoint management platforms Key Competencies Advanced troubleshooting Analytical thinking Strong communication skills Customer service orientation Time management and prioritisation Teamwork and accountability Additional Requirements Willingness to participate in after-hours standby support.
