Trade Accountant

POSITION INFO:
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established international organisation within the mining sector, offering exposure to a dynamic, highly technical and globally connected finance environment. The ideal candidate will be a qualified CA(SA) with strong post-articles experience who is looking for a role that offers both technical depth and international exposure, within an organisation that places a strong focus on innovation, automation and continuous improvement. Duties: Manage and oversee key accounting functions, including month-end close, reconciliations and financial reporting. Apply and interpret IFRS, with specific exposure to IFRS 9. Account for foreign exchange transactions and hedging activities. Prepare and review technical accounting papers and provide input on complex accounting matters. Drive and support finance automation and process improvement initiatives. Support audits, statutory reporting and other accounting and financial reporting requirements. Education and experience: CA(SA) qualification. 3-5 years post-articles experience. Strong technical accounting and IFRS knowledge specifically IFRS 9 Experience with forex and hedging is preferred Experience preparing technical accounting papers Mining industry experience is essential If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply directly.
