About Our Client The company operates within the transport and logistics industry. It focuses on national and cross-border freight as well as national mining operations. The Role: Transport & Logistics Business Development Manager The purpose of this role is to spearhead growth within the transport and logistics business. It exists to identify new business opportunities, build lasting client relationships, and deliver tailored logistics solutions that drive revenue and efficiency for the company. Key Responsibilities Utilize a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development, marketing, or sales within the transport and logistics sector. Identify and pursue new clients to grow market share through strategic plans. Deliver tailored logistics solutions and persuasive sales plans to meet and exceed sales targets. Build trust-based relationships with clients and manage satisfaction from initial engagement to post-sale support. Spot upselling and cross-selling opportunities to maximize account value. Maintain detailed pipeline reports and present performance updates to senior leadership. Represent the company at trade shows, forums, and networking events. Monitor industry rates, regulations, and innovations. About You Minimum 3-5 years of experience in business development, marketing, or sales within Transport and Logistics. Strong understanding of taut liner freight for national and cross-border operations. Strong understanding of side tipper operations for national mining. Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to design and pitch customized logistics solutions.
