Client in the MINING INDUSTRY requires the services of an UNIT MANAGER MINING at the West Rand as soon as possible PLEASE TAKE NOTE THAT ALL CV''S SHOULD BE IN WORD FORMAT TOGETHER WITH ID, QUALIFICATIONS AND DRIVER''S LICENSE

POSITION INFO:

The appointee should:

Be in possession of a Degree or Diploma in Mining Engineering.
Have a Mine Managers Certificate of Competency.
Have At least 5 years’ experience at a management level or experience in a functional/specialist area.
Strong managerial skills with the ability to lead and motivate the production team.
Be computer literate in MS Office.
Be a self-starter, motivated and be results orientated.
Exhibit good oral and written communication skills.
Be declared medically fit to function in the position and environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at a relevant Occupational Health Centre.

Advantageous requirements:

Have undergone a Middle/ Executive Managerial Leadership Programme

Key responsibilities:

Driving a culture of Safety ownership with a strong emphasis on behaviour based safety
Managing the Underground Operations Unit Teams, safely, efficiently and cost effectively to meet both short and long term production objectives.
Keeping up to date with latest Mining systems, processes and best practices and make suitable recommendations.
Analysing and interpreting Mining data and reports and taking corrective actions as required.
Providing effective problem solving support to the Mining teams.

Ensuring that all necessary Mining resources, (personnel, equipment and materials) are available as required
