SUMMARY:
A vacancy for a Unit Manager in the Orthopaedic unit has become available at a hospital in Pretoria.

POSITION INFO:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management and high quality patient care in the Orthopaedic unit, including mentoring, training and professional development of the staff.

Requirements to be considered for this position:

· 3 years nursing experience post qualification within an Orthopaedic or Rehabilitation facility

· 2 years’ experience as Unit Manager/2IC or Senior Shift Leader

· Knowledge of private healthcare would be advantage

· Basic understanding and knowledge of labour legislation and budgeting processes

· Passionate about high level of patient care and staff development

· Good communication and interpersonal skills

· Resilience

Education Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Nursing Science

Nursing Management or Nursing Education Diploma would be an added advantage

SANC registered

Computer proficient in using MS Office
