JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a suitably experienced Warehouse Manager for our client based in the Northern Suburbs. Our client is a leading provider and distributor of mild steel pipes, fittings, and flanges in South Africa, with branches throughout the Country.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:

Manage the warehouse with a staff compliment of 10.
Monitoring the day to day receiving and dispatching functions and assist where required.
Ensure that all GRV’s are processed on a daily basis
Ensure all test certificates are scanned into the system and filed accordingly
Ensure all requests for credits are processed on a daily basis
Ensure routing is done for the next day delivery before leaving in the evenings
Ensure that at least 2 vehicles are pre-loaded late afternoon so as to enable early deliveries the next morning
Ensure all vehicles are loaded and ready to make deliveries before 10:00 am
Ensure all delivery vehicles are operational and in a good roadworthy condition at all times.
Ensure all accidents are reported same day it occurs
Ensure diesel is ordered and monitored
Ensure all equipment and machinery is in good working condition
Ensure that housekeeping of yard and warehouse is done daily
Liaise with internal sales department over collections and deliveries
Ensure warehouse and our buildings are locked after all small vehicles has been parked inside before leaving in the evenings

Requirements:

Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role and industry (sheet metal/steel / piping)
Highly knowledgeable in relevant products within the industry
Professional and friendly demeanour.
Computer literate and experience with SYSPRO
Own transport and valid license
Self-motivated, organised, and excellent communication skills.
Strong team player and sales driven.
