Warehouse / Operations Manager

SUMMARY:
Overall Responsibility:
Responsible for the innerworkings of all the departments within the warehouse.

Focus area 1: Warehouse Supervisor NS
Main Responsibilities:

• Assign tasks to staff members.
• Supervise staff to ensure that tasks are completed on time and according to safety laws.
• Loading, unloading, and receiving warehouse items. Transporting materials to different locations within the facility.
• Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency.
• Securing loads to before transportation. Inspecting for damages to vehicles.
• Operating and managing technical equipment.
• Managing inventory by placement of inventory as per procedures.
• Picking and wrapping orders for departure.
• Responsible for warehouse and operations departments like the workshop, receiving, dispatch, and stock control.
• Identifying workplace safety hazards.

• Comply with and HACCP or IS022000 requirements.
• Apply basic hygiene and sanitation and adhere to food safety related rules and activities as per factory instructions.
• Perform Food Safety and Quality related activities as part of the FSMS and QC functions.
• Complying with OSHA and other safety regulations.
• Adhering to safety management standards.

• Support and entrench the company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, key employee retention and development, and high performance.
• Inspire and motivate the broader team (not just your direct reports) to deliver on goals and maximize individual and the overall company performance.
• Provide overside and direction to your team.
• Recruit, development and performance management of your direct reports.

• Matriculation + diploma or degree in related field
• 5years + experience as an operations/logistics/ warehouse manager or a similar management position.
• Mathematical aptitude

• Attention to detail.
• Managerial skills
• Good written and verbal communication
