JOB SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Area: Ormonde

Duties & Responsibilities:

Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, logistics and floor productivity
Schedule and oversee warehouse employees to meet the demands of order fulfilment and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime
Manage and oversee the receiving, dispatching, handling, storing, picking, and packing activities within the warehouse while ensuring the highest quality standards
Plan and co-ordinate receiving, storage and dispatching of stock in a timely and efficient manner to achieve objectives
Inspects and oversees all orders being received or dispatched, checking for damage, defective and/or missing items to ensure no discrepancies or losses
Packs and ships orders for delivery
Escalates any complaints about products, delivery speeds or damaged items
Meet regularly with warehouse management to review, analyse, and develop actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention
Supervise warehouse employees to effectively ensure that stock is adequately and correctly handled, racked, staged and packed timeously in the designated storage area, and to ensure that lead times are adhered to
Ensuring that on-loading and off-loading processes and procedures are adhered to
Ensure that order fulfilment is accurate and complete without damage or loss
Ensuring effective, safe, accurate and timely inventory management to include space allocation, handling and movement of stock
Keeps warehouse area clean and organized
Direct employees job functions to meet operational requirements and deadlines
Monitor team productivity and provide performance evaluations, constructive feedback, mentorship, and where necessary, discipline steps
Maintain timekeeping and attendance records
Overall responsibility for all aspects of effective supervision, training & development and performance of warehouse employees
Communicate production challenges to warehouse management

Experience & Qualifications:

Grade 12
Minimum 2 years’ relevant supervisory experience

Skills and Knowledge:

Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Delegation and conflict management skills
Ability to operate under pressure to meet tight deadlines
Ability to work cross functionally and multitask
Highly focused and deadline driven
Time management proficiency
High level diligence with meticulous attention to detail
Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
Computer literacy

Achieve warehouse objectives by complying to Standard Operating Procedures
Meet and exceed organizational goals with optimum use of workforce and resource allocation
Oversee daily operations while controlling and managing stock integrity
Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees
Establishing monitoring protocols and managing operational goals
Determine stock handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory management and controlling entry / exit processes
Review and prepare workflow, resource requirements, space planning, equipment layout, and action plans to ensure high performance productivity and operational compliance
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by strictly complying and enforcing health & safety standards
