In 2019, Offerzen did a study and found that one in four developers taught themselves. Developers learn to code in university, through tutorials, boot camps, and by doing it themselves. According to the findings of the Offerzen survey, 72 percent of respondents learned the fundamentals of their craft from online tutorials. Some respondents worked on side projects, and others completed online courses.
