AMS Functional Syspro Consultant

SUMMARY:
The Role
The Syspro AMS Functional Support Consultant is responsible for providing high-quality functional and application support across multiple Syspro customer environments. The role forms part of the AMS Reactive team and focuses on investigating, troubleshooting and resolving customer support requests logged through the AMS Call Desk. The consultant is expected to manage multiple requests simultaneously, communicate effectively with customers and take ownership of tickets from initial investigation through to resolution.

POSITION INFO:
Skills & Experience Strong functional knowledge of Syspro. Good understanding of end-to-end ERP and business processes. Experience across core areas such as Financials, Procurement, Inventory, Sales Orders, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and ideally Manufacturing. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to troubleshoot complex functional issues. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to explain Syspro functional problems clearly to customers. Strong time-management and prioritisation skills. Comfortable supporting multiple customers and concurrent support requests. Ability to work independently, remotely and as part of a team. Innovative mindset with an interest in improving processes and solutions. Experience working within a ticketing or Call Desk environment Key Responsibilities Provide functional Syspro support across multiple customer environments. Investigate and troubleshoot complex Syspro functional and business-process issues. Manage support tickets from initial logging through investigation, resolution and closure. Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on all assigned Call Desk tickets. Provide regular progress updates to customers and manage expectations throughout the ticket lifecycle. Work within agreed SLA response and resolution targets. Prioritise and manage multiple customer requests in a fast-paced support environment. Understand customer business processes and identify the underlying cause of Syspro-related issues. Provide functional consulting and recommend appropriate solutions rather than only resolving the immediate symptom. Document findings, resolutions and recommendations according to standard AMS procedures. Identify recurring customer issues and recommend opportunities for process improvement. Ensure solutions follow Syspro standards, best practices and customer business requirements. Keep up to date with Syspro software releases, functionality, enhancements and changes. Assist with testing and validation of Syspro changes where required. Work closely with other AMS consultants, technical resources and the Projects team. Provide remote support to customers across multiple locations and environments. Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and the AMS knowledge base. Maintain strong customer relationships through professional, clear and proactive communication. Key Role Expectation This is a multi-customer support environment. The successful candidate must be comfortable managing multiple concurrent support requests, changing priorities and urgent customer escalations while maintaining communication and ownership of assigned tickets.
