SUMMARY:

To provide a support function for the GM and business, by maintaining efficient and effective accounting processes and systems of internal control and ensure that daily processing is current so that the necessary financial information is accessible when required.

POSITION INFO:

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure monthly accounting statements and reports are accurate and on time.
Assist and complete budgets
Control of assets and the duly recording of depreciation.
Submission of Mibco and other statutory obligations.
Submission of Salaries and Incentives to Group Payroll.
Submission and control of staff loans and petrol accounts.
Control RFC’s (return for credit) discrepancies.
Manage and control Debtors.
Manage and control Creditors, taking note of the early settlement Creditors and rebates.
Conduct perpetual and annual stock counts timeously and accurately.
File all credit and stock adjustments accurately.
Ensure all credits and stock adjustments are signed off by General Manager.
Maintain good housekeeping within department and departmental vehicle fleet.
Ensure all relevant soft/hard copy documents are filed accurately for easy accessibility.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bookkeeping diploma / accounting qualification an advantage
3 to 6 year’s general accountancy and office administration experience essential.
Management/Supervisory experience in managing staff
Working experience within the automotive industry essential, preferably experience in body repair/panel shop environment

REQUIRED TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

Proficiency with MS Office products
Advanced Excel skills
Budgeting and Reporting
Working knowledge of VANTAGE system ideal
