Group Tax and Financial Accountant

SUMMARY:
Our client, a reputable organisation with a significant international footprint and operations within the agricultural sector, is seeking a qualified Group Tax & Financial Accountant to join their finance team. This role offers exposure to both local and international financial reporting, tax compliance, group consolidations, and strategic financial projects.

POSITION INFO:
Job Description: Tax & Transfer Pricing Prepare, review, and maintain transfer pricing documentation in line with international tax regulations and compliance requirements. Monitor and ensure adherence to applicable tax legislation across the group. Provide support and guidance on tax-related matters affecting various business entities. Financial Reporting & Consolidations Review and analyse management accounts across multiple entities within the group Prepare and consolidate monthly management reports and financial information Compile and review group consolidated financial results Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards Ensure consistency and compliance in financial reporting practices across the group, both locally and internationally Audit & Compliance Coordinate year-end audit processes and liaise with auditors to ensure timely completion of audits Prepare supporting schedules, reconciliations, and audit documentation Provide technical accounting support on complex transactions and financial reporting matters Group Finance & Business Support Review and reconcile intercompany transactions, balances, and loan accounts Maintain and update group cash flow forecasts Produce meaningful management reports and financial insights to support decision-making Prepare reporting packs for executive management and key stakeholders Draft reports and presentations for board and governance committee meetings Support mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic business initiatives Skills & Experience: 2-3 years' experience within the automotive or dealership industry Previous experience in a franchised motor dealership finance environment Strong understanding of floorplan financing and stock control management Practical VAT knowledge relating to vehicle sales, trade-ins, parts, and aftersales operations Experience preparing accounts up to trial balance Completed SAICA, SAIPA, or equivalent articles Manufacturing finance experience Experience within a multi-dealership or group environment Qualification: CA(SA) qualification Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
