SUMMARY:
We’re partnering with a leading financial services group that sits at the forefront of innovation across short-term insurance, health insurance, and digital comparison platforms. This is a business known for its strong tech-driven approach, customer focus, and high-performing actuarial teams.

They’re looking for an Actuarial Manager to take ownership of a team within their Short-Term Insurance (STI) actuarial function.

You’ll be responsible for leading a team of actuarial analysts, driving pricing and modelling initiatives, and partnering closely with the business to deliver data-driven insights that support growth and profitability.

This is a hands-on leadership role combining technical depth, stakeholder engagement, and team development.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a team of actuarial analysts, supporting both technical and professional growth
Translate business needs into actuarial models, pricing strategies, and actionable insights
Oversee model development, deployment, testing, and ongoing performance monitoring
Partner with stakeholders across actuarial and business teams to deliver clear, impactful recommendations
Conduct data analysis and ensure accuracy, integrity, and alignment with financials
Drive continuous improvement, automation, and innovation within actuarial processes
Present insights and results to senior stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
Manage team performance, delivery timelines, and overall output quality

Requirements:

BSc / Honours Degree in Actuarial Science
Nearly or newly qualified Actuary (ASSA)
4+ years’ experience within short-term / general insurance
1+ years' experience managing a team
Strong technical modelling and analytical skills
Experience working with actuarial or statistical modelling tools
Ability to communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders
