Actuarial Specialist – Microinsurance (Life & Non‑Life)

POSITION INFO:

Data Analysis & Reporting:
Collect, analyse, and interpret data for actuarial functions
Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external audiences
Analyse mortality, morbidity, and lapse rates (life)
Analyse key metrics for non‑life products such as loss ratios, claim frequencies, and severities

Pricing & Product Development:
Support development and pricing of life and non‑life products
Build pricing models and conduct profitability analyses
Assist with structuring new deals and improving product structuring

Risk Management:
Identify, assess, and manage risks across portfolios
Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis (life)
Evaluate underwriting risks for non‑life products

Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure adherence to actuarial standards and regulatory requirements
Prepare statutory reports (life) and ensure non‑life product compliance

Experience Studies & Assumption Setting:
Conduct experience studies for pricing, reserving, and risk
Review historical data to update assumptions for life and non‑life products

Collaboration & Communication:
Work with underwriting, finance, and product teams
Present risk assessments to senior management
Support development of underwriting guidelines

Professional Development:
Stay up to date with industry and regulatory changes
Attend relevant training, conferences, and actuarial exams

Skills & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar
Good progress toward Actuarial qualification
Minimum 3–5 years’ actuarial experience
Experience in life & non‑life insurance (advantageous)
Experience in pricing and product development (advantageous)
