SUMMARY:
My client within the Financial Services / Insurance / Medical Aid industry is seeking a qualified and experienced Actuarial Specialist (Valuations)

POSITION INFO:

You will be responsible for for overseeing the development and maintenance of the actuarial valuation system. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in actuarial valuations preparation and providing insight to business.

Responsibilities:

Accurate and timely preparation of the actuarial valuation for the life and non-life businesses (Solvency, Reserving and embedded value)
Assist and provide input into the budget process and provide insight to the business ]
Support the business with capital management and ensure that actuarial components of regulatory submission (ORSA and SAM) are completed
Prepare and present actuarial matters to the Board and EXCO
Staff management and training
Implement IFRS17 and build and maintain actuarial models
Provide input to the budget process

Minimum Requirements:

Must have a BSc Actuarial Science
Must have completed or be close to completing all CT Exams
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in non-life insurance environment
Experience in investigations and assumption settings
