Agile Portfolio Manager - Insurance

Agile Portfolio Manager with relevant Degree/Diploma and minimum 7 years’ experience in a dedicated project management position, managing large scale programmes in the Financial Services Industry (Insurance), required to join an Insurance Company based in Centurion.

Minimum requirements:

• Relevant B-degree or Diploma (essential)
• Relevant Project Management Certification preferred
• Knowledge of relevant Project Management software and tools
• Knowledge of Project Management lifecycle, from conception to close-out
• Knowledge of agile methodology
• Knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Knowledge of products administered by the business unit will be an advantage
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in a dedicated project management position essential)
• Experience with managing large-scale programmes from conceptualization to close-out essential
• Experience with managing a portfolio of work required
• 3 – 5 years in a senior management position advantageous
• Business experience – understanding of business and business processes
• Proficient understanding of the Insurance industry preferred

Responsibilities:

• Provide oversight to portfolio level value-driven governance for agile product deliveries
• Ensuring all initiatives are aligned to the business strategy and meet short/long term business needs and value expectations
• Drive portfolio-level information delivery and provide value risk oversight by partnering with product owners, product managers and project managers to define, analyze, and report on portfolio-level initiatives and business risks, metrics, and information related to value delivery
