BRANCH MANAGER - DURBAN

SUMMARY:
PURPOSE OF POSITION: To successfully manage the branch performance with emphasis on profitability and revenue growth.

POSITION INFO:

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

To effectively manage the branch’s KRA’s by:

• Managing the branch’s profitability variables – Costs, sales volumes, price strategies and product mix shifts 
• Developing and maintaining sound supply chain relationships
• Implementing warehousing and stock management efficiencies
• Continuously monitoring and measuring customer levels of satisfaction 
• Managing the flow of internal and external communication
• Conducting regular market opportunity analysis
• Implementing customer retention, acquisitions and value-added plans 
• Product management and quality control
• Continually developing staff skills and competencies 
• Constantly improving on processes 
• Improving efficiencies though technological and IT advancements 
• Focussing on distribution efficiencies   
• Providing sound leadership for the branch in line with the company culture
• Effectively managing the procurement process 
• Stock management and optimisation - maintaining the correct product mix and stock levels 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Business or Sales qualification is preferential
• Staff management experience at a senior level 
• Minimum of 10 years Sales experience at Key Accounts level 

SKILLS:

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• A sound knowledge of financial and accounting principles 
• Excellent presentation skills 
• Computer literacy – Well versed in Microsoft Office especially Excel
• High degree of self-motivation & ambition
• Time management, prioritisation skills and deadline driven 
• Strong administrative skills 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Professional and highly presentable
