Location: South Africa (Hybrid \/ Market Related) Reporting to: Head of Equities, Portfolio Managers & Chief Investment Officer Purpose of the Job Seeking a high-caliber Bespoke Portfolio Manager to take primary ownership of servicing specialized, high-net-worth bespoke clients . This multi-faceted role requires a sharp investment professional capable of shifting seamlessly between deep fundamental equity analysis, portfolio construction, client-facing reporting, and cross-team advisory servicing . You will \"hit the ground running,\" managing bespoke mandates throughout their lifecycle and translating complex market conditions into clear insights for clients and internal wealth advisors . Key Responsibilities Bespoke Mandate Management & Execution: Actively monitor existing bespoke strategies against their core objectives . Sourced from your own deep research, you will value and suggest high-conviction companies to the lead portfolio manager for strategy inclusion . High-Touch Client Interfacing: Regularly present performance, underlying positioning, and overarching macroeconomic\/market conditions directly to bespoke clients . Internal Advisory Servicing: Act as the primary technical touchpoint for the broader wealth advice team . You will resolve multi-asset queries spanning fixed income, equities, and real return solutions . Portfolio Transitions: Comfortably navigate asset migrations, specifically transitioning new client portfolios from external providers directly into the firm's funds using rigorous stock analysis . Requirements: Qualifications & Experience Education: Minimum of an Honours degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field . A postgraduate designation such as a CFA or CA is highly advantageous . Experience: Proven market and investment experience with a robust background in valuations, stock analysis, and portfolio construction dynamics . Technical Skills: Exceptional Excel capabilities are mandatory . Practical knowledge of Bloomberg terminals is highly beneficial .
