POSITION INFO:
Block Management Assistant \/ Block Manager Support UK property portfolios in a fully remote role focused on administration, contractor compliance, client communication and strict task deadline management. Remote, South Africa (Cape Town preferred) | Fully Remote | 08:00-17:00 or 09:00-18:00 UK Time, including 1-hour lunch | R35,000 per month, with flexibility above budget for an experienced candidate who could be hired as a Block Manager ABOUT OUR CLIENT Our client is a UK property management firm operating in a fully remote, fast-paced environment. The business manages UK property portfolios and operates with open communication, a flat hierarchy and senior leadership that collaborates with the team daily. The business is expanding its remote support infrastructure and is looking to appoint its first remote Block Management Assistant in South Africa as a proof-of-concept, with the potential to scale to three remote assistant roles. THE ROLE: BLOCK MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT \/ BLOCK MANAGER The Block Management Assistant will provide critical administrative support across UK property portfolios, reporting directly to the Associate Director. The role focuses on property administration, contractor management, client communication and maintaining 100% compliance with task deadlines through the company's internal management system. For a candidate with the appropriate level of experience, the business is open to exceeding the R35,000 monthly budget and appointing at Block Manager level instead. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES File property and compliance documentation efficiently. Update internal CRM records accurately. Draft client communications. Chase contractors for mandatory servicing records and compliance documentation. Act as a point of contact for customer queries. Provide professional and timely correspondence via email and phone. Maintain 100% compliance with task deadlines managed through the company's internal management system. Adhere strictly to compliance deadlines. ABOUT YOU Proven administrative experience, ideally within property or block management. Working knowledge of the UK block management and leasehold system is non-negotiable. Essential knowledge of the UK Landlord and Tenant Acts 1985\/1987. Essential knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022. Essential knowledge of the Fire Safety Act 2021. Essential knowledge of the Fire Safety Regulations 2005. Exceptional organisational and time-management skills. Strong communication skills for a highly connected remote team environment. Foundation or Associate Membership of TPPI or RICS is highly desirable. WORKING HOURS 08:00-17:00 or 09:00-18:00 UK Time, including a 1-hour lunch break. Career progression into a Block Manager or Compliance\/Health & Safety Officer position within 18-24 months. Full work-shadowing during the first month to learn the company's systems. All necessary IT hardware provided. IT equipment and software configuration handled and managed remotely via Legends EOR. Statistical outputs for emails and phone calls are monitored through standard CRM functionality. The employment contract requires full disclosure of any alternative income streams to prevent conflicts of interest.
