We are looking for a commercially driven Business Development Executive to grow new revenue across our full portfolio: SOC/MDR services, cyber security assessments, and managed and professional services. This is a hunter role. You will be responsible for building your own pipeline, converting opportunities and working closely with marketing to run outbound campaigns that generate qualified leads.

You will engage primarily with senior decision-makers CISOs, CTOs, CFOs and risk owners and will be expected to manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with confidence.

Key Responsibilities New business development: Identify, pursue and close new client opportunities across our SOC\/MDR, assessment and professional services portfolio. Self-generated pipeline: Build and maintain a healthy pipeline through direct outreach, networking, referrals and industry engagement - not reliant on inbound alone. Marketing collaboration: Partner with marketing to plan and execute outbound campaigns, account-based programs and event-driven initiatives that generate qualified leads. Senior stakeholder engagement: Lead commercial conversations with C-suite and senior executive buyers. Articulate value at a business risk level, not just a technical one. Market coverage: Carry commercial responsibility for target accounts across South Africa, the UK and Europe, with the ability to sell remotely and manage relationships without face-to-face contact as the default. Sales process ownership: Qualify opportunities rigorously, develop proposals and commercial terms, manage pipeline accurately in CRM, and forecast reliably. Cross-functional co-ordination: Work with technical pre-sales, delivery and leadership to scope requirements and ensure proposals are credible and deliverable. Market intelligence: Track competitor activity, buyer trends and regulatory developments relevant to our target verticals. Feed insight back into the business. Skills & Experience Required Proven track record in a B2B sales or business development role, with demonstrable new business success. Experience selling technology or professional services to mid-market and enterprise clients. Ability to generate your own leads and manage a pipeline without reliance on a large inbound or SDR function. Comfortable selling remotely across multiple geographies and time zones. Strong communication and negotiation skills at senior executive level. Organised and disciplined in CRM hygiene, forecasting and pipeline management. Strongly preferred Background in an MSSP, MDR provider, MSP or cyber security professional services firm. Familiarity with cyber security concepts - SOC operations, threat detection, vulnerability assessment, compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, Cyber Essentials, POPIA, GDPR). Experience selling into regulated verticals: financial services, healthcare, legal or education. Existing network of relevant buyer relationships in South Africa, the UK or Europe.
