Business Development Manager

SUMMARY:
Role Purpose
The New Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth through the acquisition of new clients and the expansion of business opportunities within existing accounts.
This role focuses on selling Software's technology consulting and software engineering services, including Advisory & Strategy, Software Development & Integration, Cloud, Data & AI, Managed Services, and Co-Sourcing solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities while building strong relationships with key client stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in selling technology services, software consulting, project-based delivery, and team augmentation solutions to enterprise and mid-market organisations.

Key Responsibilities
New Business Development

• Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities.
• Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
• Conduct discovery sessions to understand client business and technology challenges.
• Develop relationships with senior decision-makers and stakeholders.
• Generate leads through networking, referrals, and business development activities.
• Achieve and exceed sales and revenue targets.

• Sell the company’s consulting and technology service offerings.
• Understand client requirements and position appropriate solutions.
• Work with technical and delivery teams to develop proposals and commercial models.
• Lead proposal development, negotiations, and contract closure.

• Identify opportunities for software development projects, digital transformation initiatives, managed services, and team augmentation engagements.
• Promote company’s consulting capabilities and software engineering expertise.

• Own and manage sales targets and revenue objectives.
• Maintain accurate pipeline management and CRM records.
• Produce reliable sales forecasts and reports.
• Drive profitable and sustainable commercial outcomes.

• Build and maintain long-term client relationships.
• Act as a trusted advisor throughout the sales process.
• Work closely with delivery, recruitment, consulting, and leadership teams.

POSITION INFO:
Experience & Background Essential Experience 7-10 years' experience in technology services sales, software consulting sales, business development, or solution sales. Proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets. Experience selling professional services rather than software products. Experience selling: Custom Software Development Technology Consulting Services Application Development & Integration Cloud Solutions Data & AI Services Managed Services Team Augmentation \/ Co-Sourcing Digital Transformation Programmes Experience selling into enterprise and mid-sized organisations. Strong understanding of software delivery, consulting engagement models, and project-based services. Preferred Experience Background within a software engineering, consulting, or technology services environment. Experience engaging with C-suite and senior technology leaders. Established network within enterprise markets. Exposure to Agile delivery methodologies.
